Applications open for Unitywater grants program
Community groups can now apply for funding of up to $5,000 through Unitywater’s grants program.
Unitywater recently announced its new Community Program and is welcoming applications for local initiatives that help deliver its purpose of keeping communities healthy.
Unitywater Communications and Engagement Manager Jana Dore said the organisation was committed to supporting those groups who provide essential community services in the Moreton Bay, Noosa and Sunshine Coast areas.
“As an essential service provider, we know what it takes to deliver services 24/7 and we’re proud to have supported hundreds of local groups and organisations over the past decade,” she said.
“These groups often rely on community support or donations and we’re pleased we can assist in this way to help tackle important social and environmental issues.”
Ms Dore said successful programs must directly benefit the Moreton Bay, Noosa and Sunshine Coast communities and applications could be submitted under the following categories:
- Prevention of domestic and family violence
- Homelessness
- Vulnerable children and youth
- Mental health
- Environment, focussing on single-use plastic prevention.
Applications close 14 October 2020. To apply or for more information about previous grant applicants visit www.unitywater.com/community-grants
