Caboolture And District Animal Welfare

Caboolture & District Animal Welfare Inc is an incorporated association established in 1992.

CADAWI as it is known, has the following objectives:

  1. Promotion of Animal Welfare.
  2. Caring and rehoming for stray and relinquished domestic animals.
  3. Developing programs for de-sexing of companion animals.

CADAWI is operated by volunteers, and is registered as a “not for profit” organisation with the Australian Tax Office, so any donations made to the association are tax deductible.

Primarily, it operates an “in home” foster care program for small to medium sized dogs and domestic cats as well as operating a subsidised de-sexing and microchipping program for pensioners who are local residents.

The Association obtains the bulk of its funding through the operation of two Op Shops, located at Caboolture 2/11 Pasturage Rd Caboolture and at Bribie Island (Shop 1 / 60 Hornsby Road, Bribie Island).

CADAWI make regular donations to kindred animal organisations so the rescue work can better operate in the wider parts of South East Queensland

Reporting of stray animals or for the relinquishing of animals can be made by contacting the Animal Coordinator on 0455 778 166. CADAWI may not be able to assist in every rescue but can provide a referral service to other organisations who may be able to assist.
