Palaszczuk Government equips sporting clubs to activate the Caboolture Region

Organisations, sport and recreation clubs in the Caboolture region will be able to deliver more quality physical activity, with ten successful applicants from Round One of the Palaszczuk Government’s Active Clubs program.

State member for Morayfield Mark Ryan said the grants of up to $2,000 would empower local kids by helping clubs pay for equipment or training.

“I know how important local sporting clubs are to our community,” said Mark Ryan.

“They bring us together, they get us active and healthy, and they provide life skills for our kids.

“It’s why I’m so pleased to equip our clubs with what they need to energise our families to get involved and get active.

“I know that for local clubs, a boost of $2,000 can make a world of difference for their players, coaches, and volunteers.

Successful projects in our region were:

Caboolture Basketball

Caboolture Junior Rugby League

Caboolture Netball Association

Caboolture Tenpin Bowling Association

Genies Netball Club

Sunshine Coast/Gympie Rugby League Referees Association

The Boys Brigade Queensland

The Brisbane Warrigals Dingoes Association

The Scout Association of Australia Queensland Branch

The approved projects will receive funding from the beginning of this month.

Active Clubs is a key element of the Palaszczuk Government’s $1.3 billion plan to Activate! Queensland – getting more Queenslanders moving, more often.
