Morayfield Region Receives Community Grants Boost
Round 102 of the Palaszczuk Government’s Gambling Community Benefit Fund is delivering almost $60,000 in grants for the Morayfield region.
State Member for Morayfield Mark Ryan said the Gambling Community Benefit Fund was helping local ideas and projects become a reality.
“Without the Palaszczuk Government’s Gambling Community Benefit Fund, many local projects and ideas might not otherwise get off the ground,” Mr Ryan said.
“This is a great investment in local organisations and projects.
“Every one of this round’s recipients will use the funding to make a difference in one way or another for our community.”
Mr Ryan said Gambling Community Benefit Fund grant recipients in Morayfield include:
- $35,000 for the purchase of fitness and gym equipment for Caboolture Junior Rugby League
- $18,626 for Leukaemia Support Queensland to construct a new storage shed and carport
- $6,298 for Caboolture State High School to purchase new fitness and gym equipment
“I can’t think of a better way to kick off a new decade than giving a helping hand to the organisations who put so much back into our community,” Mr Ryan said.
“Over the last 25-years, the Government’s Gambling Community Benefit Fund has delivered almost a billion dollars to not-for-profit organisations across Queensland.
“Applications for the next round are now open, so if your community-based group has a project in mind, the Gambling Community Benefit Fund wants to hear about it.”
The Gambling Community Benefit Fund makes grants available for worthwhile community, not-for-profit projects from $500 to $35,000.
