Bribie Kids

Bribie Island Shopping Centre offers Bribie Kids, with activities ranging from arts and craft, kids yoga, movement, music and free play sessions every Thursday morning from 9.30am.

Pop & Lock

Pop, lock and jump around at Fun Size Hip Hop on January 13, 9-10am at Brennan Park, Bongaree. Suitable for those aged 3-11. Free event.

CABOOLTURE

Try basketball

Come and try basketball at Caboolture Basketball Club, Burpengary State School, George St on January 15 and 20, 10-11am. For those aged 5-17, note that participants 11 years and under require adult supervision for the duration of the activity. Wear enclosed shoes, a hat and sunscreen. Bring water and a snack.

Free coaching

Be sure to check out your local library and shopping centre for more fun and creative school holiday activities over the Christmas break. Pine Rivers Art Gallery also has activities for kids over the holidays.

REDCLIFFE

Get creative at the Peninsula Fair Shopping Centre with free back to school craft activities on offer from 10am – 1pm, Monday January 20 to Friday, January 24, outside Kmart.

Make a wreath

Learn to make a Christmas wreath using pages from old books at the Redcliffe Library. There will be a session for adults on December 4, teenagers on December 14 and children aged 6-12 on December 17. All workshops are free to attend and will run from 10am-11am.

Discover the magic of science in a stage show filled with mind blowing demonstrations. The Street Science Show is on January 10, at Redcliffe Library, 10am-10.45am. It will visit Deception Bay Library on January 13 from 10.30am-11.15am. It is free to attend.

Escape Alderaan

Can the young rebels escape from Senator Organa’s office before Planet Alderaan is obliterated? Solve a series of games and puzzles to ensure their safety! The Star Wars themed escape room challenge, for children aged 11-17, is on at Redcliffe Library for a number of sessions between 2 and 4pm. Wheely fun

Why not go for a family bike ride along the Moreton Bay Cycleway. There is plenty to see along the way and many parks to stop at and explore.
