Buy Queensland Food & Drink : Chris Whiting
The Palaszczuk Government has publicly released the Queensland food & beverage supplier directory so Queenslanders can identify the local food and drink businesses to support.
The Queensland food, beverage and catering supplier directory was set up for government departments in April 2019 to source local products and help support jobs in Queensland’s food and beverage industry.
“We have now created a directory with close to 230 suppliers who produce and employ locally for Queenslanders to access, with more to come,” said Chris Whiting MP.
“I want locals to go online and see which companies in our region are creating the food and beverage products we should be using in our homes and businesses.
“Supporting local food and beverage suppliers means more jobs for Queenslanders, and stronger local businesses.
“If everyone puts products from these companies in your shopping trolleys, it will mean a shot in the arm for local jobs and Queensland’s economy.
“The Palaszczuk Government has made it a priority to support our local jobs and businesses.
“Under the Queensland Government’s Procurement Strategy, we’ve pledged to put Queensland first so that wherever possible, every dollar the government spends is backing Queensland jobs and businesses,” said Chris Whiting
