Safe Work Awards Nominations Open

Local workers who worked hard to create safer work places should be recognised in the annual Safe Work and Return to Work Awards, said Chris Whiting.

Employees and businesses that are leaders in work health and safety and challenge the norms need to nominate by 21 June.

“If you have helped to make your workplace safer, or helped a mate get back on the job now is the time to share your story with all of Queensland,” said Chris Whiting.

“It doesn’t matter which industry you work in, or if you work for a large or small company, we want all other businesses to hear about your successes.

“A safer workplace, and a quicker return to work benefits everyone,” said Chris Whiting.

Winners will be announced during Safe Work Month in October by Safety Ambassador Shane Webcke.
