Look back in history with Moreton Bay Region Libraries

Pause and discover the history of service personnel from the region through Moreton Bay Region Libraries’ History and Heritage online collection, ahead of Anzac Day.

Spokesperson for Lifestyle and Amenity Councillor Denise Sims said Council libraries have an extensive WWI collection featuring hundreds of photos and biographies, which people could access at their fingertips.

“Council libraries have fantastic online resources for the community including a unique database of servicemen and women from our region who served in WW1,” she said.

“The collection provides an opportunity for families and visitors to share stories about the war and the memorials in the region.

“It also contains photos and a comprehensive history of the memorials themselves, as well as listing names on the memorials.
