Get ready Redcliffe…the teddies are coming!!
They are cute, cuddly and they are coming to Redcliffe on Friday, 10 May.
It’s Moreton Bay Regional Council’s popular Teddy Bears’ Picnic, so pack your favourite teddy bear, picnic rug and get ready for a morning of free family fun between 9am and noon at Crockatt Park, Woody Point.
Councillor for Division 5, James Houghton, said the free event would offer a wide range of entertainment for children under five.
“The special seaside themed event will feature two exciting stages, both with jam packed programs,” he said.
“Kids will be delighted by a magic pirate and sing along with an octopus at the main stage. The interative activity zone will have the kids up and moving to a hip hop class and making lots of noise during the drumming workshop.”
Division 6 Councillor Koliana Winchester said there would also be a variety of local stalls for children and parents alike including childcare providers, market stalls, community groups and sporting associations.
“All you need to bring is a picnic rug and your favourite teddy bear. There will be so much for all to enjoy and it’s sure to be a special morning out by the sea,” she said.
Redcliffe Teddy Bears’ Picnic is proudly presented by Moreton Bay Regional Council and supported by Cr James Houghton and Cr Koliana Winchester.
The event will run from 9am to 12noon on Friday 10 May at Crockatt Park, Woody Point.
