Call Goes Out for More Foster Carers
The Queensland Government needs more caring and compassionate Queensland families to become foster carers, said Chris Whiting MP.
Chris Whiting said that foster carers come from all walks of life and it is a special job, which requires extraordinary people to open their hearts and homes.
“Foster carers are the real unsung community champions helping out Queenslanders in real need,” said Chris Whiting.
“At my Community Champions Awards last year I presented an award to a family who have been fostering children for 25 years.
“There are many families across our community, who have been foster carers for so long.
“When you speak with these families they all say the same thing there are more ups than downs, and it is extremely rewarding,” said Chris Whiting.
