Hazard Reduction Burn - Samford Valley for Friday 28 July to Saturday July 29

Moreton Bay Regional Council will undertake a bushfire hazard reduction burn from Friday, July 28 to Saturday, July 29 at Brian Burke Reserve, Samford Valley, weather permitting.

 

Residents in Samford Valley and surrounding areas may notice smoke both during and after the burn.

 

Residents and businesses should keep away from the burn during and in the days following the event.

 

Asthmatics and people sensitive to smoke are advised to stay indoors and keep their windows and doors closed.

 

Motorists in the area should drive to the conditions.

 

Pets and livestock should be secured, if necessary.

 

Hazard reduction burn crews work closely with the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services to undertake planned burns.
