Public Safety Preservation Act Order (PSPA) , Morayfield revoked 8:42pm

Police have revoked an emergency declaration made under the Public Safety Preservation Act in Morayfield this evening.

An emergency situation was declared at 5.27pm this evening after police attended a residence in search of a wanted man.

Around 8pm, police were able to ascertain that the man was not inside the residence.

The PSPA was revoked at 8.05pm.

Police would like to thank the public for their patience and assistance with this matter.

Investigations are continuing.


Earlier: Police have declared an emergency situation this evening at Morayfield.

A declaration was made at 5.27pm under the Public Safety Preservation Act and covers the area of Walkers Rd, Crestwood Ave, Hillmont Cres, and Hilldale Cres.

Around 2.40pm this afternoon, officers attended a residence on Hillmont Crescent, in relation to a wanted person.

Police are on the scene and are asking people to avoid the area.

There are no further updates at this time.
