Planning to travel on ANZAC Day?

If you're travelling on ANZAC Day, remember that most services will vary due to the public holiday on Monday 25 April.

Most bus, train and CityCat services will run to a Sunday/public holiday timetable, however some exceptions will apply. Gold Coast trams will run to a normal timetable.

Extra services – if you are attending the Anzac Square Dawn Service in the Brisbane, we have extra bus and train services to get you there. View the additional service notice on our website.

Free travel – on Anzac Day, Australian Defence Force personnel, veterans, and their families wearing medals, can travel on all TransLink services for free. Children wearing Scout, Girl-Guide or military uniforms can also travel free of charge.

Anzac Day public holiday service

On Monday 25 April, transport services will change for the Anzac Day public holiday.

Most services will operate to a reduced timetable. However, additional services will be in place for Anzac Square Dawn Service and Anzac Day March attendees.

Please plan your travel in advance to avoid delays.

Free travel

On Anzac Day, free travel is available on all services for Defence Force personnel and veterans in uniform or wearing service medals.

Family members wearing service medals and children in official Scout, Girl-Guide or military association uniform can also travel free of charge.

Most bus services will operate to a Sunday or public holiday timetable with the following exceptions.

  • Teneriffe Ferry 5.26am
  • West End 5.26am

Last services:

  • Teneriffe Ferry 11.19pm
  • West End 11.18pm

Maroon CityGlider

Normal Monday timetable (no peak hour or late night services)

First services:

  • Ashgrove 5.25am
  • Langlands Park 5.15am

Last services:

  • Ashgrove 11.25pm
  • Langlands Park 11.15pm

Saturday timetable

Train

Train services will operate to a Sunday timetable, including early Sunday morning NightLink services.

Ferry

CityCat and Cross River: Bulimba-Teneriffe services will operate to a weekend/public holiday timetable.

CityHopper, Cross River: Norman Park-New Farm Park and Cross River: Kangaroo Point services will operate to their normal Monday timetable.

Tram

Gold Coast G:link services will operate to their normal Monday schedule with additional early morning services for dawn service attendees.
