Redcliffe Central Lions and Lioness Club grants Christmas wishes to elderly

They might not have a workshop full of toys to hand deliver but the Redcliffe Central Lions and Lioness Clubs are pulling on their Santa hats and working gear to make Christmas wishes come true for seniors.

Lions Club treasurer Jack Emery said the project had been going for 35 years.

“In the past we have helped people out with gardening, cleaning windows, fixing gates, painting and other odd jobs,” Mr Emery said.

Other wishes may include a chat and a cup of tea, or an outing.

Entries can be posted in – with your name, address, phone number and Christmas wish to: Lions Wish, PO Box 462, Redcliffe QLD, 4020.

Wishes will only be accepted from a person aged 65 years and older. They must be a Redcliffe Peninsula resident.

Entries must be received by Redcliffe Central Lions by November 30.
