More Queensland ministers and reshuffle possible, Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk says
Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has given her strongest indication that she plans to expand her 14-member cabinet, and has not ruled out a reshuffle.
She has been criticised by some sections of the business community for overloading her ministry, which she reduced from the previous government's 19.
Ms Palaszczuk told 612 ABC Brisbane she would make a decision about more ministers at the end of the year.
"That's something I'm going to have a think about, yes. I'm going to give it serious consideration," she said.
I will sit down with each of my ministers and go through with them what I believe to be their strengths and weakness.Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk
"I've been having a lot of discussions with the business sector, the community organisations.
"I want to lead a government of consultation and I will be giving that some serious consideration."
A cabinet reshuffle is also possible.
"I will sit down with each of my ministers and go through with them what I believe to be their strengths and weaknesses," Ms Palaszczuk said.
"I'll make a decision based on that and also from what the community is discussing with me. I believe all my ministers are working very hard. They're delivering on their commitments.
"They're delivering on what I said we'd do in the budget and I'll be taking stock of all of that and making my mind up."
