Draft timetables for Moreton Bay Rail Link released, public consultation starts

Draft timetables for the Moreton Bay Rail Link are online from today as TransLink seeks feedback from commuters before the rail line opens next year.

The service, expected to open mid 2016, will deliver 650 train services a week, trains running every 6-12 minutes during peak periods, express services, and a 55-minute journey from Kippa-Ring to Brisbane Central station.

State ALP Member for Redcliffe and Attorney General Yvette DAth said now was the time for commuters to have their say.

Ms DAth said there would also be changes to bus services in the Moreton Bay Region and it was important commuters were aware of how they would affect them.

The TransLink website has interactive maps so people can plot their journey.

Commuters can have their say via the Translink Website

, by phoning 13 12 30 or by attending one of the nine community consultation sessions across the region this month.
