Choirboys set to Rock Caboolture – CabSports May 14

Thirty years ago the Choirboys were formed in Mark Gable’s home on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, armed with just a humble 4-track studio setup.

These demos would lead Choirboys to their first recording deal. No one expected it would lead them into the hearts of the Australian public and the history pages of Australian music.

The iconic Choirboys are now an essential part of our culture having penned one of Australia’s unofficial anthems ‘Run To Paradise’.

With other great Aussie rock hits including ‘Boys Will Be Boys’, ‘Struggle Town’ and ‘Never Gonna Die’, Choirboys epitomise the essence of Australian pub-culture.

With multi-platinum albums, they have survived when so many others have fallen. Choirboys have achieved legendary status not just because of their longevity, but because they deliver time and time again.

So, why have they stayed around for so long? “Because we bloody love it!” says Gable with enthusiasm.

“Choirboys is exactly the kind of band that I always wanted to be in as a kid, so why not keep on doing it till you die. It is so much fun being in this band.”
