DESCRIPTION:Working Queensland Inc. are a not for profit organisation who promote and provide Work for the Dole and other activities\, with the mission of reducing unemployment across Queensland. \nWith a plan to identify preventative measures for some of the roadblocks to long term employment\, our current project is to organise and host the 2017 “International Youth Day” Festival to be held on Saturday 12th August. \nThese United Nations festivities in Caboolture will be part of the global celebration taking place across the world on this day. Our International Youth Day event will be a day youth can support a global cause while participating on a local level. \nWith a focus on mental wellness\, this years “high energy” festival will focus on creating positive vibes\, giving youth the opportunity to identify and access their own kind of natural highs as an alternative to drugs and alcohol. \nThis year’s global theme is Peace with a local theme of Choose Create Change Celebrate.  Being youth driven\, this event will offer young people a chance to explore ways of choosing their future\, creating their lives\, changing the world and celebrating their uniqueness. \nThe festival will host market and food stalls\, live music and performance\, youth chosen activities\, workshops\, a showcase of sport and other young talents\, educational forums\, talks and “think tanks” as well as indigenous ceremony and more. \nWe are also inviting community and interest groups who provide support to youth to represent their services at the event\, further enhancing their community footprint\, providing information and options directly to youth on the day. DESCRIPTION:The aim is to celebrate Cab10 NHW 25th Birthday Anniversary\, our milestone\, with the community we serve and the businesses and organisations that support us. \nOn this special occasion\, we would like to bring together our residents\, local businesses\, police\, emergency services\, local\, state and federal government representatives and others that have an interest in safe\, happy and well-connected communities\, to join us in the celebrations. \nThis will be a great opportunity for residents to have a Sausage Sizzler and meet and chat with other residents and guests in attendance.  \nThere will be free information about services available in our area and a variety of activities and entertainment for young and old. \nThe event will start at 10:00 am with a ‘Welcome to Country’ ceremony/story presented by Christine Stuart\, from the Gubbi Gubbi Indigenous Community. Our very special guest\, NHWQ Mascot Seymour will be present along with police officers\, police dog squad\, police motorbike\, maybe a surprise or two\, Crime Stoppers and Fire Brigade unit.  \nOn stage\, there will be entertainment by Wayne Holly Country Cabaret. It is also expected that several other local groups\, services and activities may join us for the celebrations. \nAt 12 Noon\, the ‘Vixens of Fall’\, Kristina\, Adrienne and Anneliesse\, three sisters\, local band singers\, will entertain us with a few of their best songs. This will be followed by several guest speakers and Cab10 NHW 25th Birthday Anniversary cake will be cut and shared.  \nIn attendance\, it is expected to be the Qld Minister for Police/Member for Morayfield\, Mark Ryan MP; Police Commissioner\, Ian Stewart; Inspector Les Bulluss; Inspector Lee Jeffries; Federal Member for Longman\, Susan Lamb MP; Cr.
