The Band was founded in Brisbane in 1977 and is today recognised both locally and internationally as one of Australias leading jazz bands. \nNow in its 39th year\, the band presents hot\, swinging jazz in a manner that elicits enthusiastic responses from listening and dancing audiences alike. Members of the band include some of Australias leading jazz players in their idiom\, as well as two instrumentalists who are also vocalists. Caxton Street Jazz Band Site  \nBring along your picnic rug or your comfy fold up chair for a wonderful late afternoon session of great Jazz. Tickets are $20 for adults\, with children admitted free\, but must remain under the control of parents.
