DESCRIPTION:Show your support for the local SES and rural fire service\, and find a bargain this Saturday\, September 2 when Beachmere holds its largest ever garage sale. \n  \nBeachmere Sands Retirement Village will host the event\, now in its fourth year\, from 7am to 12pm at 218 Bishop Road. \n  \nBeachmere Sands Monster Garage Sale Coordinator Jenny Smith said from retro items and clothes to furniture\, books and plants\, local families and visitors are sure to find a special item and help raise funds for local emergency services. \n  \n“There are lots of goods waiting to be snapped up\, together with raffle draws\, a sausage sizzle and live entertainment\,” Ms Smith said. \n  \n“All funds raised will go directly to supporting our local SES and rural fire service.” \n  \nMoreton Bay Regional Council Division 2 Councillor Peter Flannery encouraged the local community to head along to the event and pick up a bargain in support of the local SES and QFRS. \n  \n“What better way to show our support for the hardworking volunteers and staff of both the QFRS and SES\, and purchase an item for the home along the way\,” Cr Flannery said.
