DESCRIPTION:Online Fundraising Raffle called ‘Camping Through The Ages’.  There’s actually two concurrent raffles and are based on a CAMPING theme in two different time periods. \n‘Camping Through The Ages 1420’ raffle grand prize features a towering and authentic 5m high and 6m wide hand painted medieval style pavilion and a portable camping stove and cooking set. \nThe ‘Camping Through The Ages 2020’ raffle grand prize is a beautiful 4m canvas bell tent and 6mm thick flat pack steel fire pit from Stahl Fire Pits\, and a brilliant hand forged kitchen knife set.\nThere are fantastic runner-up through 5th place prizes in each raffle including handmade pottery\, a wooden bowl\, spoons and trencher set\, limited series ‘Abbey Made’ products\, Abbey 2020 Mead (yes we saved a few) and more!\nTickets are just $5 each\, the raffles run to the 31st of October of until tickets are sold out! \nHere’s more info and the link to the blog on our website.  I’ve attached a photo as well. \nhttps://abbeymuseum.com.au/camping-through-the-ages-raffles/

DESCRIPTION:Looking for a great way to entertain the kids this September Holidays?  The Abbey Museum of Art and Archaeology is calling out to all Mini Ragnars and Little  Largerthas to help us defend our precious antiquities at the Viking Family Fun Week! \nJoin us from Monday the 19th of September to Friday the 30th of September (excluding weekends)\, to participate in fun-filled and jam packed days full of workshops and activities specially designed to keep the kids entertained throughout the holidays!  Doors open at 9:30am for a 10.00am start with activities running through the day until 3.00pm. \nThere’s something for everyone with workshops including making a Viking Helmet and Longboat\, make and dress a Viking Paper Doll\, Viking Rune Translations and Puzzle pages\, making Viking Bracelets\, painting Viking Shields\, Whipcord Braiding\, Archery and even a workshop that lets your kids become an Archaeologist for the day! And if that wasn’t enough\, we have planned a “Learn to be a Warrior or Shield Maiden” with a Shield Wall Training Session!\nOur craft activities are a fun way to learn about ancient cultures.  Some activities run throughout the day while others are scheduled to help make your day easier to plan.
