Enjoy plenty of food and drinks\, live music from Blarney Stone Folk Band on the Village Pub verandah\, Bush Poets\, kids’ face painting\, and loads more family fun throughout the day.\n\n\nKey fundraiser is by Rotary Caboolture with this Australia Day the club will be at the Caboolture Historical Village for our annual Cane Toad Races. \nThis year Rotary Caboolture will be outside the Aviation Museum.\nCome along and have some fun and maybe pick up some cash at our races.\nRotary Caboolture are there from 9.00am to about 11.00am or until the toads get tired.\nExplore over 70 historic buildings filled with fascinating artifacts and local stories. Visitors of all ages are invited to dress up and join in the festivities\, which include interactive displays\, static displays\, some trick or treating\, scares\, and more. \nFirst hour is set aside for new little monsters to the whole Halloween experience. During this hour none of the displays move\, light up\, make noise\, or scare so they get to enjoy it without all the scary bits. \nOnce 6pm closes in though it all comes alive so beware! \nYou are also invited to cast your vote for your favourite display on the night\, all while supporting local community groups competing with decorated buildings\, and scares for great prizes for their organisation. DESCRIPTION:Monochrome Photography Exhibition at the Caboolture Historical Village – Oct 4 to 28 \nMembers of the Caboolture Photography Club are running an exhibition of Monochrome Prints hosted by the Caboolture Historical Village. \nThis selection of images illustrates the diverse interests each member aspires to capture in front of the lens. \nMonochrome photography is an excellent way to strip back any distractions within your image and allows you to focus on your subject matter. It allows you to concentrate on light\, shadow and contrast. You can enhance mood and emotion\, highlight texture and detail and it encourages you to find stronger composition. The timeless nature that monochrome imbues\, ensures a good photographic image remains a memorable experience for a long time afterwards.\n.\nImagery has been captured on mobile phones\, digital SLR & Mirrorless and analogue cameras. The prints are to highlight “The best camera is the one you have in your hand”. \nThis exhibition runs between October 4th-28th in the Caboolture Historical Village visitor centre seven days a week from 9am – 4pm daily.

DESCRIPTION:Volunteer Recruitment Open Day at Caboolture Historical Village – Sept 2 \nJoin us for morning tea to find out about what we do here at the Caboolture Historical Village and how you can become a volunteer with our team! \nWe have lots of different roles for you to choose from; like taking care of our gardens and grounds\, serving Devonshire teas to visitors\, helping with school excursion visits\, keeping all our machinery running and restored\, working on special projects like our new train line\, greeting visitors at reception or conducting tours for groups just to name a few. \nThere are many roles available so stop in for a light morning tea along with a short presentation and Q&A session for you to pepper us with any questions you may have. \nDid you know if you are with Centrelink and over 55 you can do your required hours with us. DESCRIPTION:Caboolture Historical Village The Caxton Street Jazz Band appears at the Village Green Sunday 29th November \nCome to the Village Green on Sunday 29th November\, from 4pm to 5.30pm to hear The Caxton Street Jazz Band. The Band was founded in Brisbane in 1977 and is today recognised both locally and internationally as one of Australias leading jazz bands. \nNow in its 39th year\, the band presents hot\, swinging jazz in a manner that elicits enthusiastic responses from listening and dancing audiences alike. Members of the band include some of Australias leading jazz players in their idiom\, as well as two instrumentalists who are also vocalists. Caxton Street Jazz Band Site  \nBring along your picnic rug or your comfy fold up chair for a wonderful late afternoon session of great Jazz. Tickets are $20 for adults\, with children admitted free\, but must remain under the control of parents.
