SUMMARY:BPW Caboolture presents Angela Koning: "Overcoming Overwhelm in Leadership"
DESCRIPTION:Presentation Topic: Overcoming Overwhelm in Leadership \nIf you are struggling under the weight of perceived responsibilities and outputs in your leadership role\, you are not alone. Overwhelm is an extremely common experience for today’s leaders and means that you are likely: \nNot operating at the right level \nHave you taken on too many low-value tasks that your team could be doing? If so\, as well as making your own life harder\, you are also not getting value for money out of your team. You need to get back to working at the leadership level! \nNot getting clear about priorities \nIf you are not racking\, stacking and engaging your team in conversations about priorities and how they are evolving then\, chances are\, everything seems like a priority to both you and your team. #chaos \nNot using the talents of your team effectively \nAre you guilty of ‘rescuing’ your team from hard tasks instead of developing them to handle more complex work? Chances are they are capable and if you play it right\, they will relish the increased responsibility. \nAngela will teach you how to map your role quickly and easily\, help you to make immediate\, easy decisions to ensure you’re only investing your precious time on the highest value\, revenue-generating tasks\, and work your way back into flow and taking charge as a leader. \nTickets at https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/may-breakfast-meeting-tickets-149528436579?mc_cid=e1d2c29593&mc_eid=fd79452551

SUMMARY:Scratching Around Exhibition 30 March to 18 April 2021 at the Bribie Island Community Art Centre
DESCRIPTION:  \nTo scratch around is to dig in search of something (usually special). Ten Contemporary Bribie Artists have been scratching around in order to create unique and special images for their annual “Scratch the Surface” exhibition. (They have left” no stone unturned” to “find a needle in a haystack”). \n  \nCreativity is at the heart of adaptability\, which is essential for coping with changes. Being creative can be risky. \n  \nAll artists like to break the rules and manipulate their chosen media to push the boundaries. \nThe work on display at the Matthew Flinders Art Gallery will be new and exciting. There is painting\, printing\, textile work and sculptural pieces\, both figurative and abstract. \n \nExample of rooster pic by Cheryl Mortimer \n \nand a painting by Sue Gardner. \nPlus check out the artwork by : John Stegeman\, Deidre Nelson\, Helen Hall\, Chris Miles\, Noeline Machan\, Lorraine Emerson\, Robert Bradfield and Molly Galpin are the creative\, innovative artists involved in this exciting exhibition.

SUMMARY:Bribie Island Pink Golf Day Charity Fundraiser Event Friday March 12 from 11 am
DESCRIPTION:This year the Bribie Island Cancer Council Branch with the support of the Sunshine Coast office is continuing with Karen’s legacy.  \nBribie Island local and dedicated cancer council fundraiser\, Karen Highlands\, sadly lost her fight with cancer in May 2020. An avid golf fan\, Karen founded the ‘Bribie Island Pink Golf Day’ in 2019\, raising $21\,000 to fund vital research and cancer support services.  \nFinding out her cancer had come back didn’t stop Karen. She stayed focused on her goal of making the Bribie Island Pink Golf Day an annual event\, backing it up by raising another $20\,000 in March 2020.  \nWhilst Karen is gone\, we won’t let her memory and all that she worked for be forgotten. We are determined to pay homage to Karen’s fighting spirit and continue her great work through her beloved event on the 12 March 2021 at Bribie Island Golf Club.
