DESCRIPTION:Beachmere’s Birthday Celebrations may have been postponed from May 2020\, but that has just given the organising Committee more time to make the events bigger.  From just one weekend last year\, the event now covers two big weekends in May 2021. \nA Gala Night on Friday\, 14 May 6pm to 9pm opens the Celebrations and the Exhibition – Beachmere\, Then and Now. \nSaturday\, 15 May from noon till 4pm is the Festival in the Park – an afternoon of free\, family\, fun with bands\, entertainment\, market stalls\, vintage cars fabulous food and a whole lot more in Clayton Park. \nSunday\, 16 May from 2pm to 5pm is the High Tea with entertainment and a fashion parade. \nOur Bush Dance on Saturday\, 22 May is postponed but the “Wrap Party” on Sunday\, 23 May from 2pm to 5pm will be a wonderful way to thank all the volunteers involved and announce the winners of our Silent Auction.  Another afternoon of free entertainment and fun is definitely part of the “wrap” on this final afternoon of Celebrations. \nTickets for the Gala and High Tea are available form bang.org.au/btb or by email on info@bang.org.au.

DESCRIPTION:The CSC Group is extremely proud to announce that they will be Platinum Sponsors in the very first Moreton Bay Red Ride. \n \nThis new annual community event will see approximately 2\,000 motorcycles riding red with the purpose of highlighting and raising funds to combat Domestic Violence. \nThis sponsorship valued at over $7000\, has been awarded through the CSC Group’s Community Chest Fund which provides cash & in-kind support to local community groups that provide significant service to the Moreton Bay region. \n“We are incredibly proud to support this deserving cause. Not only are we Platinum Sponsors for the event\, we also have staff volunteering their own time to participate in the event”\, commented Tony Clarke\, CSC Group Sports & Community Manager. \n“It’s never been more important to support local\, and the CSC Group’s Community Chest Fund aims to support community groups just like this. \n \nSince 2000 our Community Chest Fund has made over 1\,066 donations valued at over $900\,000”. \nThe ride will start from the Caboolture Showgrounds on Saturday 1st of May 2021 and will journey through the picturesque Moreton Bay region before finishing at the Woodford Showgrounds. At the completion of the ride there will a music concert and some refreshments. \nThe official launch event was held at Caboolture Sports Club on 25th of March. DESCRIPTION:  \nTo scratch around is to dig in search of something (usually special). Ten Contemporary Bribie Artists have been scratching around in order to create unique and special images for their annual “Scratch the Surface” exhibition. (They have left” no stone unturned” to “find a needle in a haystack”). \n  \nCreativity is at the heart of adaptability\, which is essential for coping with changes. Being creative can be risky. \n  \nAll artists like to break the rules and manipulate their chosen media to push the boundaries. \nThe work on display at the Matthew Flinders Art Gallery will be new and exciting. There is painting\, printing\, textile work and sculptural pieces\, both figurative and abstract. \n \nExample of rooster pic by Cheryl Mortimer \n \nand a painting by Sue Gardner. \nPlus check out the artwork by : John Stegeman\, Deidre Nelson\, Helen Hall\, Chris Miles\, Noeline Machan\, Lorraine Emerson\, Robert Bradfield and Molly Galpin are the creative\, innovative artists involved in this exciting exhibition.
