DESCRIPTION:This is an 8 week course running 23rd July to 10th September.\nContact hours are 10am to 12pm each Thursday starting 23rd July and finishing 10th September. \nThis FREE program is suitable for parents and carers of children who want to build stronger emotional connections\, better understand behaviour\, and feel more confident in their parenting role. \nParenting is not just about managing behaviour — it is about understanding a child’s emotional needs and responding in ways that build safety\, trust\, and connection. \nThis parenting program is grounded in attachment theory and supports parents and carers to better understand their child’s emotional world\, strengthen relationships\, and respond more confidently during both calm and challenging moments.\nChildren communicate their needs through behaviour. \nThis program helps parents learn to:\n• Recognise the emotional needs beneath behaviour\n• Support independence while remaining emotionally available\n• Respond to distress and big emotions with greater clarity and confidence\n• Build stronger\, more secure parent-child relationships over time \nRather than focusing on discipline techniques or quick fixes\, the program centres on attachment\, emotional connection\, and long-term wellbeing. \nThis is an 8 week course running 23rd July to 10th September.\nContact hours are 10am to 12pm each Thursday starting 23rd July and finishing 10th September. \n

DESCRIPTION:Each year we hold a Community Fund raising day and donate proceeds to a local Community organisation. \nThis year it is been held on Saturday 1 August and all proceeds will be donated to the Neighbourhood Centre Emergency Relief service. \nA big part of the day is the Community Challenge Event where local service and sports agencies test their skill against each other in a modified and fun croquet competition. No prior experience is necessary\, instruction and coaching is provided as is all equipment. \nTeams consist of 2 or 4 players and the entry fee is $30 per team. Last year there were 20 teams and the event was won by the Bribie Outrigger team. \nAs well as the competition there will be Come and Try\, Morning tea and a sausage sizzle as well as raffles and prizes throughout the day. \nRegistrations are now open at bribieislandcroquet@gmail.com. There will be a range of orchids from small seedlings to larger flowering plants to suit most budgets. Talk to the growers and vendors to get more information on how to grow your orchids. \nThe show has a large display of dendrobium speciosum the rock Lilly orchid in the different forms and colours from pure white through creams and yellows to intense almost orange tones. then the other colours of species and hybrids again some whites to reds\, greens\, orange and all the different tones shapes and sizes of both epiphytic orchids to our unique ground orchids. \nfrom all different climates so there is something to interest anyone into plants. \n  \n
