DESCRIPTION:Each year we hold a Community Fund raising day and donate proceeds to a local Community organisation. \nThis year it is been held on Saturday 1 August and all proceeds will be donated to the Neighbourhood Centre Emergency Relief service. \nA big part of the day is the Community Challenge Event where local service and sports agencies test their skill against each other in a modified and fun croquet competition. No prior experience is necessary\, instruction and coaching is provided as is all equipment. \nTeams consist of 2 or 4 players and the entry fee is $30 per team. Last year there were 20 teams and the event was won by the Bribie Outrigger team. \nAs well as the competition there will be Come and Try\, Morning tea and a sausage sizzle as well as raffles and prizes throughout the day. \nRegistrations are now open at bribieislandcroquet@gmail.com. DESCRIPTION:Expressions of Interest Open for 2026 Longman Seniors Expos \nThe Office of Terry Young MP is pleased to announce that Expressions of Interest (EOIs) are now open for organisations wishing to participate as stallholders at the 2026 Longman Seniors Expos in Caboolture and Bribie Island. \nCommunity groups\, government agencies\, health providers\, and businesses offering services\, information\, and support to seniors are encouraged to apply and be part of these popular community events. \nCaboolture Seniors Expo \nExpressions of Interest Link to 2026 Longman Seniors Expos \nMember for Longman\, Terry Young MP\, said the expos provide an important opportunity to connect seniors with organisations that help them remain informed\, active\, and engaged within the community. \n“These events bring together a wide range of services and support networks that contribute to stronger\, healthier and more connected communities for our seniors\,” Mr Young said. \n“I encourage organisations that work with or provide services to seniors to submit an Expression of Interest and join us in making the 2026 Seniors Expos another great success.” \nExpressions of Interest will remain open until 12 July 2026. \nInterested organisations can complete the online EOI form\, which will notify the Longman Electorate Office of their interest in operating a stall. \nPlease note that submission of an Expression of Interest does not constitute registration and does not guarantee the allocation of a stall.
