SUMMARY:Fresh food and convenience sets tone for Woolworths Grand Opening at Burpengary East - Nov 26
DESCRIPTION:Fresh food and convenience sets tone for Woolworths Grand Opening at Burpengary East – Nov 26 \n  \n \nA new Woolworths store will open on Wednesday 26th November with an expansive fresh food experience\, convenient shopping options and value at the heart of their offering. The new store is located in the Burpengary East Shopping Centre and represents the supermarket’s commitment to a growing community that has been waiting for the new centre to open. \nLocated on Uhlmann Road\, Woolworths Burpengary East will showcase an extensive range of Australian fruit and vegetables\, with an Odd Bunch range offering great value. Customers are also able to choose from a selection of 100% Australian beef and an array of fresh seafood from the fish market. \nA shining star of the new store is the bakery\, offering fresh stone baked bread made from Australian wheat flour\, as well as a number of pastries and cakes prepared daily by the bakery team. The store also features a large Macro Wholefoods market offering\, a selection of plant-based protein and a dedicated range of gluten-free goods\, plus a large range of Asian and Middle Eastern foods. \nMore than 80 new team members have been employed at the new store\, with over 40 having never worked at Woolworths before. Store Manager\, Graham Hall\, has worked with Woolworths for eighteen years\, having previously been the manager of the Roma store for five years. He is excited to open a brand new store in the Moreton Bay region and is looking forward to showcasing the new store to the Burpengary East community. \nGraham said: “Our team is incredibly excited to open a brand new contemporary fresh food offering for Burpengary East locals\, with an extensive range of groceries to choose from across all departments in the store”. \nThe store has also confirmed support for the Burpengary State School\, by supplying gift cards and food and drinks for school fundraising activities next year. \nFor locals who choose to shop online\, the Burpengary East store features a Direct to Boot service where customers place their grocery orders online then simply confirm when they’ve arrived in one of the six marked parking bays via the Woolworths app or SMS link to notify the store team\, who then pack the order directly in the boot\, with no additional charge. \nWoolworths Burpengary East is also committed to growing greener\, reducing its impact on the environment and operating more sustainably. The store has been fitted out with LED lights to reduce power usage and includes carbon-efficient refrigeration and air-conditioning systems. Electronic ticketing is another feature of the new store\, which has been installed to reduce waste and give team members more time on the floor to serve customers. \nDo not forget Community Day on Saturday November 29\, where 101.5 FM bus will be in attendance providing Music and assistance during the morning as well as being a part of the celebrations. \nOpening hours for Woolworths Burpengary East are 7am – 9pm\, Monday to Saturday \nand 9am to 6pm Sunday. SUMMARY:Friends Annual Lunch & Presentation: “Brasses & Brass Rubbings” by Robin Czechura -Abbey Museum Saturday November 8
DESCRIPTION:Friends Annual Lunch & Presentation: “Brasses & Brass Rubbings” by Robin Czechura -Abbey Museum Saturday November 8 \n  \nThe Abbey Museum Friends invite you to their Annual Lunch and Presentation on Saturday\, 8 November 2025 at the Abbey Hall. \nThe talk is intended to give some insight into monumental brasses and brass rubbings\, illustrated in part with images from the collection\, both already catalogued and subsequent donated items. The collection started with John Ward’s interest in the topic\, resulting in his book\, the one remaining rubbing\, and the brass on display in the Museum. \nThese rubbings provide clues as to the person’s identity\, how the families drew attention to their status and affirming their position in society. Brasses and rubbings also provide rich visual imagery for those interested in all aspects of social history. \nBrass rubbing was\, and still is\, a comparatively easy hobby\, much like rubbing a coin or anything else with a textured surface. In more recent times what used to take place in churches\, abbeys and cathedrals has now moved into dedicated brass rubbing centres. \nThe lunch commences at 1.00pm – join us for a delicious two-course meal (main meal of meat and salad plus dessert). Wine and juice are also included. \nThe presentation will commence at 2.00pm. \nAll are welcome.

However\, with the massive old figs cushioning your view at one end over the stately Crown Hotel and the eclectic art of the Churn Room at the other end you owe yourself the stroll. \nEnjoy the numerous cafes\, each offering something worldly different to the other from high teas and book nooks to gluten-free and vegan. Not to mention antiques\, old-style lolly & icecream shop\,  historical building trail\, craft and gift shops. \nWe even have the boys covered\, as besides the Historical Hotel\, why not get a unique snip and cut-throat face shaves at Dirty Hairy’s Barber Saloon with hot towel and if you’re lucky a cold beer thrown in. \nIf you’re having way too much fun to head back yet and haven’t had the chance to do the rain forest walk and fresh rockpool swim up the mountains why not stay the night. Among your mountain ACCOMMODATION choices is a walk with the llamas at Dayboro Cottages and wine and dine at the award-winning Ocean View Estate Winery just up the road. \nAfter your restful slumber in nature\, come back down and collect your selected piece of memorable artwork from the gallery\, lovingly wrapped and ready to go. Hope to see you sometime soon\,

SUMMARY:CLECS 2025 Expo at Caboolture Showgrounds October 18
DESCRIPTION:The Classic Landcruiser Expo & Car Show October 18 \nOctober 18th 2025 – Caboolture Showgrounds \nCLECS is back on October 18th\, 2025! Follow our Facebook page for the latest info. \nCLECS has always been more than just a car show—it’s a platform committed to community and cause. We are proud to be aligned with A Long Drive for Drought\, a grassroots fundraising initiative supporting Farm Angels (formerly Drought Angels)\, a registered charity offering personalized financial and mental‑wellbeing support to Australian farmers impacted by drought\, floods\, fire\, and other natural disasters. Each year\, participants from the Landcruiser community rally to raise funds—as seen in recent Long Drive fundraisers that have generated over $100\,000 per event and contributed to more than $500\,000 in direct aid delivered across 1\,300 rural communities. \nCLECS & Mr Landcruiser Team is an integral part of this initiative and they participate in this Long Drive to raise money and awareness for the farming community. CLECS is also gradually evolving into a dedicated non‑profit entity\, and this shift reflects our belief that classic motoring and meaningful community impact go hand in hand. By partnering with Long Drive for Drought and directing proceeds to Farm Angels\, our event amplifies voices from rural Queensland and beyond\, bringing attention and tangible relief where it’s most needed. We provide a platform for connection\, awareness\, and action—ensuring that CLECS is not just a commercial gathering\, but a community-driven event committed to helping farming families stay resilient and connected to the land they love. \nYou can also purchase CLECS vehicle entry\, camp site booking and general admission tickets through the links. \nTo purchase the brand new CLECS T-Shirt\, please use the following link \nCLECS 2025 – Crew Neck T-Shirt \nWe look forward to seeing you there! \nNow your invaluable links for your needs: \nCLECS 2025 : Vehicle Entry Pass for Car Show \nCLECS 2025 – Camping Pass \nCLECS 2025 – General Admission \nCLECS 2025 Event Facebook page
