New Years Eve Trains and Public Transport

From 8pm on Wednesday 31 December until first service on Thursday 1 January, travel will be free on all public transport services in South East Queensland (excluding Airtrain).

Trains:
There will be plenty of additional trains running after the family and midnight fireworks, then into the early morning.

Early morning – 2:30am onwards
After 2:30am, there will be one train per hour on each line (except Doomben and Airport) until the first normal service on New Year’s Day.
Until first service on Thursday 1 January: travel will be free on all public transport services in South East Queensland (excluding Airtrain). Until 5 AM

After 2:30am, there will be one train per hour on each line (except Doomben and Airport) until the first normal service on New Year’s Day.
From First Service: 5 AM All trains busses and Catamarans will be at standard fares and require a go card or paper tickets
All lines will run to a public holiday timetable.
Special Brisbane CITY Busses:
Getting into South Bank
All services will be running to a normal Wednesday timetable, with route M1, 222 and 333 travelling into Brisbane City running at a higher frequency between 6pm and 9pm.
After the fireworks
After the 7:45pm and midnight fireworks, the following routes will run additional services for approximately 90 minutes:

Late night services
Late night and Nightlink buses will running until the sun comes up.
