On Sunday 7 March 2021 Morayfield & District Lions club is pleased to be celebrating Lions Awareness Day at Bunnings Morayfield from 8.30 a.m. to 2.00 p.m.
Since the first Lions club was formed in Australia almost 75 years ago Lions has grown dramatically in size and impact with over 1300 clubs and 30,000 members now giving back through an array of community-based programs and initiatives.
Some Lions are on a mission to cure childhood cancer and diabetes, others are committed to assisting those impacted by drought and floods and many are simply working together to help people in need in their local community. One thing all Lions have in common is together they are making an incredible difference.
Local Lions Club President John Reader says he is excited to celebrate Lions Awareness Day with the local Morayfield community.
Morayfield & District Lions Club has been operating in Morayfield, Caboolture, Burpengary and Narangba for since 1985 now and have made a big difference to many lives over this time. It’s been a big year for us Lions with Service and Fundraising achievements such as Lions Christmas Cake Sales; Drivers for Meals on Wheels; Lions Recycle for Sight; Lions Youth of the year; Canteen workers for Sporting events; Sausage Sizzles at Bunnings and various Community events; Operation of the ‘Warba Warba’ Café at CREEC Environmental Centre Burpengary and Sale and Donation of Wooden Toys Prior to Christmas operating in Morayfield and various local shopping centres.
