Grace Lutheran College Caboolture Arts Showcase 26 August

Lighting Up the Night with Grace.
Come and feast on a showcase of the Arts at Grace in 2016.
You are invited to an intimate afternoon recital featuring our Vocal and Instrumental Tuition students, as they share the work they have been so carefully crafting.
At night, enjoy the Year 10 Wearable Art parade, where you can vote for your favourite artwork from this creative class and get a taste of the talent exhibiting at the Art Soiree later in the year.
Get wowed by Dance Showcase: featuring our Eisteddfod commended Dance Troupe, Dance Club and the best work from inside the classroom.
The evening features a range of cinema from competition and the classroom. Soak up a wonderful selection of Music from Vocal Group, trophy-winners Concert Band and String Ensemble, extension ensembles Jazz Band and Drum Line as well as classroom-based pieces.
Fresh from the Sunshine Coast Schools’ Drama Festival Drama Middle and Senior school Drama students will present their adjudicator-recognised pieces ‘The Picture Frame’ and ‘The Quality of Mercy’.
Academic
- Tried and tested Year 7 programme, since commencement in 2008

Spiritual and Service
- Focus on helping to prepare young people for a life of faith and service
- Christian Studies, Chapel, voluntary boys’, girls’ and mixed youth groups support students’ spiritual development
- Pastoral Care programme has a strong focus on values and spiritual development. Students and parents report that
students feel safe and supported in an orderly environment - Camps: Year 7 Pastoral Care, Year 7 Canberra, Year 8 Pastoral Care, Year 12 Retreat
- Googa – Four week Outdoor Education Camp for Year 10s
- Community Service is included in a number of curriculum areas including Service trips to indigenous communities and Indonesia
Sport
- Students can play in both Caboolture Campus Sporting Teams and two-campus Sporting Teams and Carnivals
- Caboolture students have represented Grace College teams that were finalists in competitions
- Caboolture Campus has represented in regional, Queensland and Australian Sporting levels
The Arts
- 20 Caboolture-based co-curricular Arts Ensembles and groups in Music, Drama, Dance, Technical, Film and Visual Arts
