Donating Food Drives Christmas Spirit that helps Salvation Army help those who need our help

The Christmas Spirit is alive and well in Caboolture with residents donating food to help those less fortunate this festive season through a Food Drive at Central Lakes Shopping Village.

Customers are encouraged to buy just one extra can of food or non-perishable item and place it in the donation cage near Woolworths.

All donations will be distributed locally by the Salvation Army of Caboolture.

“The generosity within the local community at Christmas time is heart-warming,” said Dale Hermosilla-Silva, Centre Manager.

“In an average week The Salvation Army helps over 100,000 people across Australia, this figure increases significantly at Christmas time. The Central Lakes Shopping Village Food Drive is the perfect way to assist The Salvation Army feed local families.” he said.

The Salvation Army will be collecting cans of food and non-perishable food from November 21 until December 23. If you would like to donate simply visit Woolworths at Central Lakes Shopping Village.
