If you love music, food and racing then the Country Music Raceday at Doomben Racecourse is one event not to be missed!

It’s sure to be one hell of a hoedown!

This rowdy raceday is back for another year so slip into your cowboy boots and get into the spirit of the outback – it’s going to be non-stop entertainment for everyone with rides, music and fun.

There will be live racing on the track all day and world-class entertainment to keep the party going into the night! Now in its second year after last year’s sell-out event – 2016 will see even more giddy up action.

Headliners, O’Shea are set to rock the stage along with a swag of country music greats including Drew McAlister, Brad Butcher and Phoebe Jay. Plus, enjoy home-grown eats and activities, the infamous Dunny Derby where the outhouse becomes a chariot in a race down the track and a Country Fashions on the Field Competition .

New for 2016 is the Rising Talent competition where up-and-coming country music stars will compete to win an all-expenses paid trip to Nashville and the Show ‘N Shine Ute Muster. It’s all in the name of a good cause too – $10 from each ticket will go to Buy a Bale to support Aussie farmers.

So, come dressed in your RMs and Akubras, challenge your mates line dance up a storm and keep the kids entertained with rides and a petting zoo.
