Be Uplifted Inc is a non-profit organisation that focuses on improving the lives of breast cancer patients in any way we can.
The Symposium – Insight & Knowledge: Improving The Breast Cancer Journey – has been a long-term goal of our organisation, designed to connect breast cancer patients with services and gather information about treatment options.
The objectives of this Symposium include:
- Examining the needs of breast cancer patients
- Educating breast cancer patients (and practitioners) of recent developments in healthcare
- Sharing information about care options and support services available during and after treatment
- Raising awareness into the financial burden faced by patients undergoing breast cancer treatment
The theme of the Symposium is all about making life easier for breast cancer patients and helping them to achieve better outcomes through insight and knowledge.
We are expecting an audience of 750 people, with four breast cancer specific speakers plus information booths available from allied health professionals and services.
As a charity event, breast cancer patients will be charged only a minimal charge to attend. This fee will cover administrative costs and entry will include morning and afternoon tea.
