| Event Details: | The Abbeystowe Challenger Clash is unlike anything else you’ve ever seen. Marked as Australia’s only Buhurt International “Conference” tournament, this year we’re adding the Trans-Tasman Cup to the schedule for some added flavour. So, if last year’s inaugural competition was not hotly contested enough for you, come and see Australia take on New Zealand in a one-off Trans-Tasman Cup full combat battle.
The main tournament is still the Abbeystowe Challenger Clash, where teams from around Australia will battle it out to the end for glory, bragging rights and the Abbeystowe Challenger Shield. Brought to you by the same team that brings you the Abbey Medieval Festival, and co-hosted by Queensland’s own Team Vultures, the Abbeystowe Challenger Clash promises to deliver two action packed days of full contact medieval combat. If that is not enough to get your blood pumping, there will also be a variety of other entertainment, food stalls and a pop-up bar. We haven’t forgotten about the kids either if you want to bring the family. The Abbeystowe Archery range will be open throughout the day for those wanting to hone their skills with a bow and arrow. This is an all-weather, outdoors event so come prepared to cheer on your favourite team, rain or shine. Free Parking is available on site. A limited amount of accessible seating is available.
