Born in the Republic of South Africa, Nantes Quinot Jnr spent his early years immersed in nature’s wonders and its people’s warmth.
His journey then took him to New Zealand, where he encountered cooler weather, gumboots, and abundant sheep—not to mention plenty of rain.
Eventually, he settled in Australia, a vast land with a climate reminiscent of his African roots and a friendly, easy-going people.
For nearly 42 years, Nantes has found joy in Australia’s unique wildlife, marvelling at its vibrant birds and fascinating creatures, from kangaroos to the elusive platypus and the feisty Tasmanian devil.
A lifelong fan of murder mysteries, writing runs in the family with his father publishing under the nom de plume Nantes Quinot, a legacy he proudly continues as Nantes Quinot Jnr.
He enjoys weaving intrigue, humour, and unexpected plot twists into his writing, always aiming to entertain and provoke thought.
He hopes his stories will inspire readers to chase their own dreams.
Beyond writing, Nantes is a passionate woodworker and mandolin player, finding solace in nature and the quiet of his study.
Nantes and fellow author Katy More who has written a thrilling science fiction fantasy novel ‘Echoes of Treason’ are about to launch their combined book tour in May.
