Pumicestone State School History

Pumicestone State School opened its doors at the beginning of this year and to celebrate our first wonderful year, the school will be holding a twilight fete on Friday 27^th October 2017.

Our school opened as an Independent Public School. The school motto “Shaping our Tomorrow” underlines our focus on ensuring all students have what they need to be successful learners.

Our Vision

This year we are creating our traditions for the future!

Our vision is to create a tradition of engaging our whole community. Building and maintaining relationships between the staff, students, parents and the wider community will play a vital role in the student success and will develop a strong sense of belonging for us all. We will foster a parent community that places a high value upon education.

Our Sponsorship Aim

The P & C Committee, along with the Fundraising Committee, are seeking assistance from our local community with sponsorship for the fete.  Through their generous sponsorship for this event, their business details are exposed to a large number of families and patrons which creates a positive and mutually beneficial relationship.

As we are a new school, there are many items that we need to fundraise for to expand on the basic facilities that have been provided for our children. We have two goals for our fundraising – air condition our Resource Centre and also help to fund a Chaplin. We sincerely thank all sponsors for their contribution, which assists us in our fundraising goals.

The Event

The Twilight will be held on Friday 27^th October 2017 from 3pm – 6:30pm

It will be an afternoon full of fun, family and excitement. Memories will be made through food, rides, entertainment, school and community exhibitions and displays.
