Kilcoy Art Society Wendy Houston KASI October Artist of the Month.
Textiles give Wendy many options to experiment with texture, colour and a variety of dimensions. She finds great enjoyment designing her artwork using a variety of textiles and experimenting with different techniques like appliqué, embellishment and free motion sewing on her machine.
Wendy is inspired by nature and the world around her. Travelling gives her the opportunity to see shapes and art in many forms which inspires her to develop her unique one of a kind artwork. All she needs is inspiration and imagination to transform her thoughts into art! It can take her many days to create that special piece but each piece is made with much pleasure!
