Federal member for Longman Terry Young MP Calls for nominations for the 2020 Longman volunteer recognition awards
Nominations for the 2020 Longman Volunteer Recognition Awards are now open, ahead of National Volunteers Week (18 – 24 May 2020) next week.
Federal Member for Longman Terry Young MP said he was calling on members of the Longman electorate to nominate locals who deserve to be recognised for their volunteer work within the community.
“We have an abundance of volunteers here in Longman with big hearts that are worth their weight in gold,” Mr Young said.
“These volunteers have made so many of our electorate’s fantastic festivals and events possible and have given so much back to our local community and sporting organisations.
“They work long hours, never complain and go above and beyond, all so they can make our community a better place to live in.
“I believe this commitment and dedication deserves to be recognised, so I am encouraging local organisations and members of the community to nominate volunteers who have contributed to the betterment of the Longman community.”
