Division 2 – Peter Flannery Podcast Recorded June 21, 2019

Today we discuss the Moreton Bay Regional Council Budget for Div 2, upcoming events, staying safe by checking your winter electrical equipment especially dryers, we also update the fire prevention burnoffs which are happening through out the Moreton Bay Region. Plus a special evacuation exersize was conducted recently part of the disaster management plan at the Pumicestone passage including Toorbul, Donnybrooke and Meldale

Division 3 – Adam Hain Podcast – Recorded 2019-06-28 For July

Adam Hain discusses projects includes the Rail Trail and beautification new bus shelter upgrade the swings and toilet block near bluebell street park. further projects on streetscaping  in Caboolture East, Morayfield.

In King Street The Caboolture Memorial Hall is getting a upgrade to the tune of around 600,000 over 3 years with beautification on the facade, new ramp and electric sliding doors, the sound system has also been improved. The Front doors should be open for the public by late July.

Sheep station Creek gets a clean up, William Berry Drive has some works with a roundabout being installed assisted by a federal Grand for blackspots program. $10 Million dollars for road improvements in Division 3 $3 Million allocation Oakey Flat Road and Morayfield road with two turning lanes being installed. $2.4 Million rehab for McKean Streat with day and night work new road, trees and lights plus additional pedestrian zebra crossings, this project is expected to take 6-8 months

Waste Management changes with the State Government Waste Levy, in short everything has to be weighed before disposal, Adam Hain explains keep it simple and only take one kind of waste to the tip, per trip, so that re weighs won’t be necessary, however for all Moreton Bay Regional residents it will still be free to go to the Tip.  All types of waste will be measured to the kilo. Keep a look out for Cr newsletters which will have all the different types of waste according to classification.

The Centenary Lakes water management and beautification continues.

The Caboolture Festival 2rd to 12th of August  and Generate has been morphed as a portion in to several weeks of activities as part of the cornerstone event the Caboolture Family Fun day. Dragan Live in concert Friday 2nd at the Town Square.
