Early figures show a steady low level of pre poll voting for Longman

So far for the division of Longman in the Federal Election 2019 the sheer numbers of pre poll voting simply has not been there in the large number hysteria that has been portrayed in the mainstream media at least not in locally.

Numbers are starting to trickle in  from the Electoral Commission of Australia showing thus far for the Division of Longman for Monday and Tuesday show for the Caboolture Pre Poll Centre Cnr Bertha & Margaret St, has been consistently hovering the 590 mark each day, Morayfield at the Mega Centre Unit 6/379 Morayfield Rd, also around the 590 mark each day while at Burpengary and North Lakes numbers were around the 60 voters each day Mark.

In the Division of Dickson Numbers were even less ranging from 19 at Brisbane to 5oo plus at Strathpine, while for Petrie Division in Brisbane 11 and 2 so far for the first two days and the highest number of voters were at Redcliffe at 600 each day.

Finally for Fisher at Caloundra 800 per day & 300 per day for Maroochydore while at Fairfax resulted in a thousand voters per day.

We will see how the numbers stack up in 7 days, in the mean time what can we extrapolate from this ?

In the past if we are going to see a change in government we would have witnessed higher numbers at pre poll on the crucial early first days.

This has not been the case on observation with many not taking how to vote cards going in to vote and exiting briskly but by no means a rush.

This perhaps may signal no change in government but that will be a more clear picture on the night of May 18.
