Hazard Reduction Burn - Mount Pleasant (near Dayboro)
Moreton Bay Regional Council will conduct a hazard reduction burn from July 24 to July 29 across 125ha of the Mount Brisbane Road Reserve at Mount Pleasant, weather permitting.
The burn is being conducted together with Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service and Rural Fire Service Queensland.
Residents and motorists in surrounding areas may notice smoke during and after the burn.
People should keep away from the burn during and in the days following the event.
Asthmatics and people sensitive to smoke are advised to stay indoors and keep their windows and doors closed.
Motorists in the area should drive to the conditions. Pets and livestock should be secured, if necessary.
