Vehicular tyre slashing during storms at Dakabin RSPCA person of interest revealed
A unnamed person of interest who may be able to help with police inquiries has been revealed on CCTV camera footage, who is alleged to have slashed a number of tyres of staff who were otherwise busy moving all the animals to higher ground during and following the big wet recently.
While the animals are safe sadly the cars tyres are not, with two of the exhausted staff having to leave their cars at Dakabin overnight for safety reasons.
Despite the facility being secure, a male person allegedly went to great lengths to access the cars in the middle of a storm, and slash all of the tyres. He even slashed all four tyres on a trailer containing a hire generator.
The incident occurred from 11.30pm Friday, March 31, the facility has both CCTV footage and a screenshot of this person
Despite this horrible experience, thankfully there are some good people out there! Richard from Richo's Tyres 2U Mobile Tyre Service quickly responded to our call for help, kindly donating his labour and equipment to replace our tyres - so our staff are now safely back on the road.
