Boundaries ease for Boundary Road Bridge

“The opening of the new Boundary Road Bridge has made life easier for thousands of commuters from Deception Bay and North Lakes,” said Chris Whiting.

The bridge section of this $100M project was opened to traffic on Tuesday 4 April.

"Daily life just got a little bit easier for all those residents who travel through the Boundary Road interchange each day on the way to work or school," said Chris Whiting.

"Like many others, I've sat in the traffic at this interchange, and I know the difference this project can make to everyone's daily commute.

"Work on the approaches, the on- and off-ramps, and the pathway bridges will continue for about six months until the whole project is finished.

"The old bridge will have to be demolished to make way for the new on- and off-ramps.

"The patience of local motorists has been fantastic, and I ask they be patient for a little while longer.

"I want to pay tribute to Minister for Main Roads Mark Bailey who secured the State Government money for this joint Federal State project,” Chris Whiting said.
