Thunderstorms Warnings Cancelled Sunday November 13
CANCELLATION SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING - SOUTHEAST QUEENSLAND
Issued at 7:07 pm Sunday, 13 November 2016.
Severe thunderstorms are no longer affecting the Southeast Queensland area (east of Dalby from Rainbow Beach to Stanthorpe). The immediate threat of severe thunderstorms has passed, but the situation will continue to be monitored and further warnings will be issued if necessary.
157km/h wind gust recorded at Brisbane Aiport at 5:35pm, another significant wind gust of 106km/h was recorded at 3:05pm.
98km/h wind gust at Peel Island at 5:55pm.
87km/h wind gust recorded at Double Island Point at 4:05pm.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services advises that people should:
* Beware of fallen trees and powerlines.
* Never drive, walk or ride through flood waters. If it's flooded, forget it.
* For emergency assistance contact the SES on 132 500.
A more general severe thunderstorm warning remains current for parts of the Central Coast and Whitsundays and Capricornia districts.
