Moreton Bay Innovation Awards you have until November 4 to nominate
The deadline for entries into the 2017 Moreton Bay Innovation Awards has been extended until November 4, giving the region’s entrepreneurs and inventors one more week to stake their claim on the $10,000 major prize.
Mayor Allan Sutherland said the deadline for entries had been extended to allow small businesses a little extra time to finesse their entries.
“We understand that running a small business can be extraordinarily time consuming and the thought of having one more thing to do can be daunting for a small business owner,” Mayor Sutherland said.
“We know there are a number of small businesses who have indicated a desire to enter the awards, but who have not been able to complete their entries for a variety of reasons.”
“So, we have extended the awards by a week and will have staff on hand next week to help navigate the entry process. If you need a hand, just give our staff a call and they will be more than happy to help.”
Councils is also calling for more young entrepreneurs (under the age of 18) to submit their entries and vie for one of the two $1,000 major prizes up for grabs in the youth category.
