Australia's most wanted: Crime Stoppers launch Operation Roam campaign to find 19 fugitives

Nearly 20 fugitives wanted over drug trafficking, assault, and conspiracy to murder charges are in the spotlight as part of a new national campaign launched by Crime Stoppers.

Operation Roam - Fugitive Hunt will run for two weeks from today and is calling on the public to help police find 19 men.

Their faces and details of their crimes have been posted online at fugitivehunt.com.au.

Many of the men were on parole when they went missing.

The persons of interest are from Victoria, Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia, but Crime Stoppers said many of them were likely to now be living interstate.

"We need your help," Crime Stoppers' Bryan Roach said.

"These criminals are hiding in our communities, interstate and next door, perhaps known to family members and colleagues."

Rewards of up to $1,000 are being offered for anyone who provides information that leads to an arrest.

The public is being urged not to approach those wanted, but to instead call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Crime Stoppers hopes Operation Roam will be as successful as its other campaigns, which have resulted in a number of arrests.
