Sunshine Coast Break and enter, extortion charges on Beachmere man
Police have charged a man following investigations into the alleged break and enter of a Little Mountain business and attempts to extort money from the owners.
It will be alleged a 30-year-old Beachmere man forced entry to the cabinet making business in Sydal Street and stole a number of items including computer hard drives.
Police will further allege the man attempted to extort a sum of money from the business owner in order to retrieve the stolen property.
Police executed a search warrant at an address on Warne Terrace in Kings Beach on Wednesday, July 6.
He was charged with enter premises and commit by break.
It will be further alleged police executed a search warrant at an address on Beachmere Rd in Beachmere yesterday where they allegedly uncovered additional items following further investigations into the incident.
The same man has additionally been charged with one count of extortion.
He will appear in Caloundra Magistrates Court tomorrow.
Police investigations are continuing.
