North Lakes Christmas Carols moves to new home at The Town Common
Santa is making his way to North Lakes and has given the reindeers the map to find the new home of the North Lakes Christmas Carols.
The free family event, now in its 12th year, has outgrown the land near The Corso and will this year fill North Lakes Town Common at Little Burke St with Christmas carols, family activities and fireworks.
Organiser Kathryn Richards from Moreton Bay Region Industry and Tourism encouraged visitors to bring a blanket or chair and enjoy hours of fun.
“We are excited to showcase our local superstars from nearby schools, dance and community groups, who will take to the stage in a carolling spectacular alongside Craig Martin and His Swing Band who will headline the night,” she said.

Santa’s Village, which is being assembled at the town common, will include jumping castles, trampolines and an inflatable snow globe to explore.
The twilight markets will return this year, with the fireworks to end the event at 8pm.
The North Lakes Times will be sharing photos from the day on its Facebook page and is inviting carollers to share their photos as well.
