Funds Get Equestrian Centre Moving Again

The Burpengary Equestrian Centre Inc and its partners and associated member clubs have officially commissioned its new tractor and ride-on mower courtesy of a $35,000 grant from the Queensland Governments Gambling Community Benefit Fund.

State Member for Morayfield, Mark Ryan MP was on hand to assist with the official commissioning of this critical new equipment for the Burpengary Equestrian Centre.

The impact of the severe flooding event earlier this year meant that the Equestrian Centre lost its tractor and ride-on mower, Mr Ryan said.

I know that this equipment means a lot to the Equestrian Centre and will help them get back on their feet following this years severe flooding event.

This new equipment will also help the various community organisations that make use of the Equestrian Centres facilities.

Its a win-win for our community and Im pleased that the Queensland Government has been able to help the Equestrian Centre get moving again, Mr Ryan said.

At the official commissioning, Burpengary Equestrian Centres representative, Gary Bryce said that the Equestrian Centre and all users of its facilities were grateful for the Queensland Governments support and acknowledged the additional support from North Pine Motors and PLP.

The Gambling Community Benefit Fund is the single state-wide government funding program that distributes one-off grants of up to $35,000 (inclusive of GST) from gambling taxes to not-for-profit community groups each quarter.
