It’s Queensland’s most scenic and longest running fun run. The Jetty 2 Jetty Fun Run takes place around the stunning Redcliffe Peninsula, offering four great events to entrants each year. In 2018, the annual event will run on Sunday the 22nd of July at Crockatt Park in Woody Point. With races ranging from 3km to a half marathon, there is a race for everyone to compete in. There are four different races in the Jetty 2 Jetty Fun Run: 3km, 5km, 10km and 21km. No matter if this is your first ever fun run, or your running the half marathon, the J2J is an event for all ages and levels.
A cash prize pool is up for grabs to be shared among the elite female and male competitors of the Half Marathon and 10km events. The top 3 male and female winners in each event will share in the prize money.
Visit the Healthy Living Expo
This year, the Jetty 2 Jetty Fun Run will also feature the Peninsula Private Hospital Healthy Living Expo. This expo will include a variety of health and well-being market stalls. Discover more about living a healthy lifestyle by visiting these stalls and discovering all they have to offer.
Take time to explore Redcliffe
After you have competed in the race, consider relaxing in Redcliffe for a bit. Ideas for things to do could include:
- Taking a swim in Settlement Cove Lagoon – There’s nothing more refreshing than a dip in the water after a long run!
- Taking a relaxing walk along one of the many beaches on the Redcliffe Peninsula.
- Taking a stroll along Redcliffe’s foreshore shops and have a look at Bee Gees Way.
- Taking the kids to one of the many parks around the Peninsula – ideas include Scarborough Park and Charlish Park in Redcliffe.
